Big brands want to be in / Las grandes marcas quieren figurar / As grandes marcas querem ser parte
Palermo Viejo is no longer the independent designers’ exclusive neighborhood. Since the last year, important and even international brands have opened locations in trendy Palermo Viejo. First it was Nike on Gurruchaga St., then Adidas on Malabia St, Puma chose Armenia St. and finally Topper, on Gurruchaga St. too. Cacharel is opening soon on Honduras St. A lot of Argentine important labels didn’t want to be left out as well. Tucci, Prune, Awada, Caro Cuore, Class Life, Mancini, Riccardi, Airborn, Boating, Grisino and many more have opened nice shops in Palermo Viejo. Who will be next?

i am a shopaholic and am interested in fashion hubs outside the usual US and European cities. anyway, i have become rather fascinated with palermo viejo, Buenos Aires, and wondered if you have a few favorite fashion boutiques that you could reccomend...the types that do still cater to independent designers and such.
Hi Leslie, what are you looking for exactly? I like very much the following shops: Marcela Pagella and Maria Aversa (clothing) & Atípica (special tank tops and jewelry), all in the same block of El Salvador 4500-4600 and then Objeto on 1649 Gurruchaga St.
